What sets you apart from other hair stylist?
My two biggest passions are working with people and hair! I have wanted to be involved in the beauty industry since I was 5. I still remember trying to put sponge rollers in my dad's hair. LOL! Hair to me is more than just the last part of your morning routine; it's a feeling, an instant sense of confidence. It portrays your attitude and personality. I love what I do! I love to define my clients' hairstyles and make them look their absolute best.
What is your specialty?
I specialize in custom hair color and color corrections. I am known for my bold and creative foiling techniques. I have studied extensively with Matrix Hair Color.
What kinds of training have you had?
I went to Bellevue Beauty School from 06 to 07, and relocated back to my hometown in Longview, WA to continue my education with Alan Ledgerwood at Pals for Hair salon. I’m now in my fourth year of working at Pals for Hair and have loved every minute of it.J I also regularly attend advanced training programs with Rusk, Bumble and Bumble, and Matrix. The last training I attended was a four-day seminar at the Matrix Dream Imagination Conference in Phoenix, AZ. My favorite classes were Glamorous Runway Worthy Updos, Soft and Blended Techniques for Disguising Gray, and Funky Shag Razor Cuts! I love hands-on workshops and inspiring hair shows. I am always keeping my eyes peeled for the striking timeless hair styles and hot new trends.
What are your goals for the future?
My goal is to put a smile on every person that sits in my salon chair. The best part of my day is watching someone light up when they see their new look. I look forward to expanding my clientele and meeting new people! I would also love to travel to New York to study at the House of Bumble and Matrix Global Academy. An everyday goal for me at my hair salon is to keep fresh eyes for creative inspiration and to create hairstyles that are specifically complimentary to personal features and face shapes.
